Project Selection Magazine

The cover photo of the magazine consists of a blue sky and clear water with a man holding up a very large bass with a lure in its mouth. The title of the magazine is above in red and below is the feature article titiled-How to Catch Bigger Fish in white text. There are also sub articles underneath. The next two pages are advertisements for trolling motors and fishing rod companies. The table of contents has pictures of different fish speices and a man sitting next to a buck with the articles and their summaries next to them.

The cover of the magazine is very clean and full of green and brown color schemes. The full background photo is of a rocky beach coastline and the end of a golf course with the green in the center of the rocks. The title is at the top in white, thin letters and has a special edition mark under. In the top corner it has the month that the magazine was issued and the bottom left corner has the price of the magazine. It states that it is the Mexico issue of the magazine and has subtitles of articles under it. There are five full page advertisements before the table of contents. These ads consist of golf resorts, alcohol, kitchens, and golf fashion. The table of contents has the featured articles and other smaller articles with their names and descriptions with pictures of resorts and players. The circulation number of the magazine is 1,430,563 and the magazine gives out awards to players and has it's own tournaments.

The cover of the article is full of blue color themes as the magazine is a fishing. The front picture consists of two fishermen on a boat one holding a trophy large mouth bass up to the camera. The title is above the picture in black and white and says Florida Sportsman. The articles are bullet pointed on the side in yellow in smaller text. There are a couple of advertisements for fishing boats before the table of contents. The table of contents is a two page picture of a Spanish mackerel and states the main articles and their pages with a brief description. The magazine also features many ads for fishing lures, reels, rods, and boat accessories. The articles consist of many methods and techniques to catch certain fish and what areas in Florida you can catch them. The articles distribution number is 218,000 and have won numerous awards from outdoor sportsman.

The cover of this Sports Illustrated magazine includes an orange and yellow bright color scheme to match the jersey's of the two Astro players on the cover. The players are in focus in the front and the magazine's title is slightly covered by them. Around the players there are smaller article titles with the authors and photographers listed underneath. They show the page number underneath the featured article which is titled-How Houston Built the Scariest Postseason Rotation Ever which appears on page 26. Right off the bat there is an advertisement on the back of the front page for Oscar Mayer. There is then the table of contents with the title lineup with a picture of a famous hockey player in the background. There are ads after about ever article for products such as Gatorade and other food and fitness related ads. The distribution number is 3,023,197 and the magazine gives out multiple awards to people and businesses such as sportsperson of the year.

The sports magazine I am analyzing is called Rugby World The cover of the magazine is very eye catching and popping. There is a star rugby player that the main story is about front and center. The rugby player is wearing a sponsored jersey and is in action playing a game. In the back at the top there is the title Rugby World and in the center to the left it says it is the players issue in the same white block font as the title but with a transparent red background.The word free is highlighted in yellow to show that the magazine includes a free calendar of the upcoming rugby events. The advertisements included are for various rugby products and companies that make rugby products such as Gilbert and Canterbury. It also had advertisements for Adidas cleats made for rugby. The magazine has articles on how the sport is progressing in the states and the structure of the upcoming season.
