I integrated many softwares and technology in my magazine project. One of which was Microsoft Publisher, it was fairly easy to learn because I am used to other Microsoft programs but it was a great tool to get me used to magazine style editing. Another computer program I used in the process of producing my magazine was Adobe Indesign. Although this program was hard to use at first I played around with it and it made editing much easier to complete I will definitely be using it in the future.

My production skills developed throughout this project in two ways, using different programs to create a product and having a greater appreciation for the people that edit and compose magazines proffesionally. The programs I learned to use were Microsoft Publisher and Adobe Indesign which was completely different from any other program I have used in the past. In the beginning of the project my magazine looked scrappy and disorganized. It now looks clean and professional.

My magazine, Florida Sports engages with it's audiences by sending messages through the magazine, through our website online, and our social media accounts. Subscribers can comment on pictures or contact us through direct message on instagram. The magazine could be distributed as a real media text by taking part in magazine conventions.

My product, the Florida Sports Magazine uses many magazine conventions such as a multitude of pictures to draw in the audience, eye-catching titles and subtitles on the cover page, and a properly formatted article. The pictures are action pictures to show the intensity of the sport of rugby even among the youth. I used a yellow color font to make titles pop out on the cover page and formatted the two page article with multiple pictures and corresponding captions. One convention that I challenged was making the table of contents a full photo for the background. The photo was very neutral so it highlighted the featured articles. Some social groups represented are young athletes in Florida.
